Tips on Dealing with Anxiety + What causes my anxiety

Hey guys! Today I want to talk to you guys about something that’s close to heart…… Anxiety. Being a teenager, it just known that we could get anxious at times but not everyone really knows what causes it or how to deal with it.

         For example: what causes my anxiety is Overthinking. I tend to take things out of perspective and that makes me nervous. Things like, Death of people I love, Not having friends, Not going to heaven, failing at life (though I am not sure this is possible) Not getting married, and other stuff like that.

DEALING WITH ANXIETY

Here are somethings that help me deal with my anxiety.

Exercise: to me exercise is one of the best ways to forget about your anxiety because all your focus is on the body not the mind. After you finish you are going to feel so relaxed that you won’t even remember why you started in the first place.

Get Creative:   If you can’t forget about it; Create it! Expressing yourself through the arts is one of my favourite ways to deal with anxiety it. Things like painting a picture or sculpting or even sketching helps to express yourself in ways that make you feel better than that.

Music Helps: Music is one of the best ways to cope with anxiety. Jamming Out to your favourite songs is one the best ways to forget your worries. Actually, one of my tricks to coping is actually this: Whenever I get nervous, I just think of a song in my head and it makes I forget about my worries immediately. Try it! It actually works.

Spoil Yourself: Something about having a self-proclaimed spa-day and eating comfort food all day seems to calm a person. We all deserve to feel like a queen sometimes. Mani-Pedis, an avocado mask and some chocolate cookies ought to make you feel relaxed.

PETS!!!!!:   Snuggle Buddies are essential when trying to cope. They help you relieve loneliness and helps with encouragement.

Catch Some ZZZZZ’s: Sometimes a good night’s sleep is all you need to relieve you of stress. You’ll notice that when you sleep on it your mind feels freer and more relaxed.

Call in the professionals: It’s okay to ask for help sometimes. Sometimes we can’t handle everything yourself, you can go to the nearest doctor or therapist to help you through this difficult time.
